So I’m recovering from a long night of fun competition related things…making flights of drinks, throwing my ’spro down the drain because it didn’t taste the same as it did last week, wondering why I don’t have a sig drink, etc… Since we don’t close till 11pm it means we can’t get the ball rolling untill midnight at the earliest given cleaning and prep, so when we get done it is laaate.
It’s all gravy though; Crystal’s training for her first ever barista comp come March and that in itself is exciting. With Ryan and Gabe helping out while Drew and I drink Belgians I’m sure she’ll be well prepared for the fun to come at the WRBC.
Our GB5 has been sitting lonely in the roasting area for a bit now and I’m trying to urge Jeremy to hook that beat up earlier than he wants to (we need to do some counter arrangement/improvements first). But whatever: Hook that shit up Jeremy! We want to practice on that!
Boxes are filling up the basement; things like hot water towers, cups, saucers, all kinds of stuff waiting for a home in our new store when it opens (soon). Not much else going on I’m afraid hmmm…Matt Riddle (2006 USBC champ) came in the other day and although I don’t know him we chatted for a second about random stuff, really nice guy (I dig it when we have visitors). Well…get back to your normal day folks I’m afraid thats all I got.
